I am Olivia Trestrail, a photographer and multimedia artist currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography & Expanded Media at the University of Georgia, with plans to graduate in May 2025. My work is rooted in exploring the complex intersections of identity, desire, and the human body. I employ photography as a means to capture the raw, unfiltered aspects of life, aiming to create images that are as beautiful as they are gritty.

I find inspiration in the everyday, aiming to capture what often goes unnoticed or feels uncomfortable to confront. Using techniques like self-portraiture, found images, and even sculptural materials, I push the boundaries of traditional photography. My work invites viewers to see beauty in imperfection and to question the taboos that shape our perspectives on human experience.

Professionally, I manage technical resources as an Art Studio Technician at UGA’s Center for Audio Visual Equipment and have shared my skills as an instructor, gallery assistant, and workshop leader. Whether archiving works for the Souls Grown Deep Foundation or teaching at Georgia Summer Academy, my goal has been to foster creativity and inclusivity in artistic spaces.

For me, art is about creating connections, celebrating our shared experiences, and embracing the messiness of life. Welcome to my world of photography, where dirty and delicate meet.
