There is no dirt in learning to ask for what you want, despite the shame that might surround it. In a world where cameras are weaponized and bodies are commodified, my work examines the complex systems in which identity and desire, fetish and surveillance, and feminism intersect. I use photography alongside video, installation, performance, and bookmaking to explore the roles everyday acts play in shaping our understanding of humanity—revealing the tensions and contradictions within them. I am interested in how we navigate desires, fears, and vulnerabilities, and I aim to celebrate the beauty and power of the body in all its forms.

Sexuality threads through these practices, acting as both subject and subtext. It is fluid, multifaceted, and deeply personal, yet consistently influenced by external gazes and cultural norms. Photography holds the power to challenge these norms, to celebrate the complexity of identity, and to dismantle the stigma surrounding the erotic and the explicit. Photography and sexuality are acts of liberation. My images expose both what is hidden and what is revealed, pushing us to confront our discomforts and desires.

My work is inherently intimate and collaborative—a transaction that delves beyond the surface, into desire, power, and visibility; a negotiation of trust, boundaries, and agency. Whether that be between me and the viewer during a performance, or my subject and me as I photograph them, what is shared is not ownership but a moment suspended in trust. I aim to both capture and create moments of vulnerability, where the line between performance and authenticity blurs. In these spaces, bodies and images are transformed into sites of connection, figures of longing, and reflections of human truths.

In a world where complicity often hides the desecration of bodies, my photography seeks to challenge societal expectations and embrace authenticity. By capturing the beauty and complexity of our dirty, messy, and unconventional lives, we must remind ourselves daily: there are so many ways to be beautiful in the world, and dirty is simply one of them.
